I read the book "Practical Motorcycling" and later was rather disappointed with the depth of the class comparatively.
Don't sweat the written MSF test, man. If you're awake, you'll pass.
The only things that *almost* tripped me up with the acronyms, and if you remember that to start your bike (as opposed to check it's condition before riding it) you'll need to check the choke/clutch, you'll likely get a perfect score.
FINEC
Fuel
Ignition
Neutral
Engine
Centerstand
I think that's what it was.

Choke, not centerstand.

I use: ICKS
Ignition
Clutch
Killswitch
Start.
Actually, I don't... but then again I don't mess with the fuel valve, shift into neutral, or mess much with the choke for that matter, and if the engine was missing I probably would've noticed it before getting on.

I thought the 50 question MSF written test was even easier than the 20 question driver's license test.
I remember one of the questions on the MSF test was something like, "What do you do to get someone to stop drinking before they drive?"
A.) Get help from friends
B.) Encourage more drinking
etc.
Yes that was on the test.

i got a 90something on the written and the one i got wrong was that drinking one. LOL
until i looked t it and the instructor marked it wrong saying the right answer should have been "encourage more drinking". LOL
i pointed it out and he realized it was a mistake.
