I saw a guy riding a Harley in traffic the other day. He had what appeared to be his grandaughter on the back, (10-12 yrs) He was wearing a t-shirt and shorts, and she had on a tube top and shorts. No helmets, sandals....I am pretty sure its illegal to ride even as a pillion without a helmet if you are under 18 in FL. I felt like saying something to him, but chose to mind my own business.

I saw another Harley rider, no gear.... talking on his cell phone while riding. No joke, he had his head leaned over against one shoulder holding the phone. I dont know how he could hear the person on the other end, but I could hear him yelling into it

Sitting a stop light several weeks ago, I see another sportbike coming along a cross street ridden by a typical squid (flip-flops, t-shirt, no helmet). He glances my direction and immediately does a stoppie right up to the bumper of the car in front him. Sets the rear wheel down and gives me the head knod.

At least the stoppie was well executed...

Those squids sure do give people like Verm a bad name....

But seriously, as a person who likes sportbikes and will get one in the near future, it makes me mad to see those squids showing off. The only saving grace I have is when they kiss the pavement. Or occasionally some idiot pulls a wheelie and reveals his fat-a$$ crack to the road. hehe

Seeing that type of thing really gives me no joy. I have an appreciation for people who have mastered sportbikes enough to ride controlled wheelies and stoppies and any speed or any of the other tricks out there. It's really impressive to see what some people can do with a motorcycle. And even more impressive when they do it in a controlled environment.

But the ones that do those stunts in traffic, on rural roads, on the highway, etc frustrate me. And all that squidy stunting and crashing does is put a poor image on sportbikes.

I concur COMPLETELY! Bikes sure are the best thing to watch, especially when the rider's got REAL skills.

They almost became common over here thanks to the efforst of 'Desperate Dan' Builders they are usually licenced as "Beach B'Stards"

The DVLA wouldn't let them have the A in the middle but the apostriphe giving the same effect was perfectly allowed.

I just had to laugh at this one. There was a guy on a Harley bragging and reving his bike to red line at a stop light to show off to everybody. Then when the light turned green he went to go and stalled the bike twice.

I found it pretty funny!!!

Anyways Keep on Ridin
