I was out one evening and some guy started to follow me... the only thing I did to acknowledge him was a very fast nod in reply to his nod at me at a light I was slowing for that then turned green right away about 5 min after I noticed him. He ended up following me all the way to the other end of the city (a good 20-30 minute circular ride) where I (thankfully) stopped to chat/hang with a bunch of msf instructors I knew finishing up their weekend course. He stopped too & did some chatting with them and eventually left when I showed no signs of leaving or talking to him.
Definitely creepy.

I don't mind another rider joining into the ride (had that happen today) but when I started into my neighborhood I would find it a little wierd if they kept following.
I would save following someone to bars or gas stations to chat not thier homes. Some people can get paranoid and think you are the 'Cable Guy Rider.'
But different culture in parts of the South and out West..people are def friendlier down and out there.

I think I would be afraid...someone is seeing where I park my ride. I am very approachable just about anywhere else....does this make sense?

Following them to thier house is creepy, if I were to do that here in Miami i'd definately be risking some trouble. Like the others said, followong anywhere else would be fine, but not my house. I wouldn't even go home if I knew someone was following me!

I've said "hi" at a stoplight before when someone on a bike stops by me. Maybe even ask about their bike, if it's something interesting. I've also had people do the same to me. But I wouldn't even think of following someone home. Of course, I'm a "Damned Yankee", as my ex-wife was so fond of pointing out!

She was from Tennessee. As I recall, most of the family on her side thought that northerners were not as friendly....

oh boy.
Maybe next time I want to chat I'll just get in front and point at a gas station and see if they follow me in.

My dad once followed someone home who tried to kill him on his bike, now there's one less person out there trying to take out motorcyclists by not paying attention.
