yes, counter steering is the main turning control.

but if you read sport riding techniques... it gives a list of "steering aids" ...hanging off is one of them. :wink:

It's also meant for people that know how to ride normally and want to go faster. When your bike is vertical, but your hanging off the side something is wrong. There are more efficient ways to turn, and you just look silly doing that.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Reading a bunch of "how-to" books on motorcycling and saying "be the motorcycle......be the motorcycle" will not make you a better rider.

well yeah, i hang off in preparation for the turn. so yeah, before the entrance, im hanging off while the bike is vertical.

I'm poor! And I want an old UJM which isn't that easy to find in my area, especially since it's dominated by squids on GSX-Rs and Harleys (not necessarily squids, but underdressed for sure).
