That is a picture I took this morning of my 1989 Honda VTR250 Interceptor. Top speed is slightly over 100mph, although it takes about as long as a 4 cylinder car to go from 75-100. Not too bad for a 17 year old motorcycle with a 250cc v-twin. Mine only has 14,500 miles on it.

This bike has no problem with highway speeds, or even freeway/interstate speeds. However, crosswind can make the ride less enjoyable on the freeway if it's a windy day. Even though I have since purchased my 600cc sportbike that is about as quick as a Ferrari Enzo, I will never sell my VTR because it is so much fun to ride. I definitely recommend it!
LOL. That looks like a repainted Ninja 250. Damn i want one know.

The 88-90 VTR250 Interceptors are dandy little bikes. Since they were coming out of the80s, they had that goofy neon jivin barbie paint scheme. The one pictured is tame. Many have the crazy colors, most often called "barbie biike". I say that with a garin of salt and mean no offense!

I've run across some very well maintained and modified Interceptors. They've got a good reputation to boot. When buying my bike, I was choosing between an 89 VTR250 and a 00 VTR250. I went with the naked.

You are completely correct. Here is a picture of how my VTR looked the day I bought it.

The first thing I did when I got home was remove the pink. The pink did save be about $500 on the purchase price though.

That bike of yours is in really good shape for an older bike, much less a 17 year old bike, isnowbrd. I can only hope my ninja is in that good of a condition in 17 years...

Good call on the pink removal, though I can guarantee that you would've gotten noticed a lot more if you had left it on there (though probably not in a way you wanted).

Go look at BigChickenStrips pics on his 250. Doesn't looked bored or too small, etc. to me.
