Did you expect some kind of performance gain from removing the evaporation canister? I mean besides the clearance.

You won't feel a power difference. There is none.The purge system only works at idle, steady state running, decel. Under acceleration, the purge valve is closed and has no effect on running.

I am not familiar with the bike. How did the cannister hit before the exhaust pipe? It looked like it was pretty well tucked under the engine. You riding off road? Or do you have the bike really lowered? It couldn't been scraping in turns, as it is in the center of the bike.

Just curious...
