I have noticed many times that men in newer sportier cars try to race me off the light.
I have to say I love racing people from the stop light , it's just so darm fun!
And, yeah, I have noticed the guys who all of the sudden become speed racer after I pass them...depending on what mood I'm in I'll either drop back and let them by or shoot past and get away from them that way. I try not to let them hover around me...but at least they SEE me.

hmm interesting to know this. Do guys do this as well when the passenger on the bike is a female? What about the female is the rider that has a male passenger? I never really have women pass me so I dont know if I would do the same thing (doubt it) but then again I almost never have anyone pass me cause im always the one doing the passing lol.

I have never really noticed someone passing me just t pass me as a woman. However, I was at a light once with my hubby (on the 07 Triumph Tiger) me on the 1200 sportster. To the right of me was a red pick up truck and tho' i could not see the driver, just the front of the truck...it was apparent ( reving his engine and false starting) he was going to try to beat us off the mark and get ahead of us before the 2 lanes ahead, turned into one.....hubby and i try not to be like this....but it just was so much fun!!!!!.....so hubby rev'd which means for me HE IS LEAVING QUICKLY....and we both ...well, just went fast....little red truck dot in the mirror....so much fun. It really is. And really, as far as I know, now tat I think about it, it could have been a woman driving. I really don't know.

I've had both women and men speed up and pass me shortly after I've passed them. Mostly the tuner and 'monster' truck crowd. I think they just need to get their pride back after I smoke them off the lights.

really, when youthink about it. Their "head" isn't too much different than ours,....we all want to be fast and have the feeling of being in control. We just happen to be in control of the machine that usually wins. ...off the mark, anyway... 8)

Ok personally I don't think gender has anything to do with this. Because if a female wants to pass me on a motorcycle I hate to see them leave but I love to watch them go :) I think any typical "Guy" would have the same reaction.

But I do notice lots of people challenge me in "Bimbo boxes" (Minivans). I'm more nervous about Minivans than I am about pretty much any other vehicle. They seem to be the most inattentive cars on the road. They are either overly aggressive or not paying attention in my experience. Regardless of the sex of the driver.

I dunno I think people driving those things are frustrated at life and just don't want anyone to be infront of them. Maybe cause they are always putting their kids first in other areas of life lol.

As a fellow motorcycler..cyclist...rider...etc. I let motorcycles go wherever they want when I am driving.
