Sounds like a fuel delivery issue. What are your float heights set too???
And what does the manual suggest?

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I have the FSM and it doesn't really suggest anything in the troubleshooting portion.
Not sure what the floats are set to. As I said, I probably do not have the skill to correctly diagnose a carb problem. Taking it apart, spraying it out, and putting it back together is about as far as I can get.
Unfortunately I don't even have a trailer (nor a hitch on my car) to take it to a mechanic. Not sure what to do.
I'll pull the plug and run a compression check this weekend. I know a guy who works on bikes so I might try to lure him into my garage with a case of beer.
It feels like a fuel delivery problem...I need to stick to working on cars

Don't throw rocks at me for such a simple suggestion..but...
Is there more than a gallon of gas in there? Could you put at least a couple gallons in there to be very sure you aren't just very low on gas?
Even after you're pushing the bike, it sounds like there's a gallon swishing around in there. DAMHIK.

LOL, well thats probably true.
Oh, and I also took it apart last night and inspected the rubber boot from the carb to the intake, and it's pretty worn out and chopped up inside. Guess I'll have to get a new one of those as well.
I've been doing more research and supposedly a bad boot can cause the symptoms I'm having.

Haven't had much time to work on this thing. I might just buy a new carb and boot and, if that doesn't work, stick a sign on it that says FREE BIKE and roll it into the street.
