Liquor preferences?

Until I had a Mai Tai made properly, I never knew what I was missing.

I like bourbon , JD, Johnny Black, and various Highland single malts, all on ice or neat.

Samsong is good too, Coke, Red Bull and cheap whiskey, in a bucket with ice and straws for sharing. It's Thai. I like the way Thais do things.

How about a White Russian? (Dude!)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't a fan of gin.

My go-to drink at bars is a whiskey sour.

At home I occasionally have some good whiskey, neat. Currently have a nice bottle of Knob Creek I've been working on some evenings.

Drinking hurts me.

Unfortunately, that don't make me smart enough to completely avoid it. A few times a year I lose all reason and have myself a runaway. Last weekend was one of them actually. I feel pretty bad right now. I thought I had more money left in my pocket too.....

Anyways, once in awhile I will have a drink with some guys after work or something. 1-2 beers, and I will have a splitting headache and queezy guts for a day or 2. 1 Vodka anything gives the same thing. And Rye, Scotch, any Wiskey.... Tequila is alright, but things don't usually stop at one, and I wake up sick and broke again... Gin is not even worth mentioning.

Amber rum and coke is good, and it won't make me feel like craap the next day. It is all I keep in the house. Mostly Bacardi 151*... cause I'm really not that bright as it turns out....

Certainly not as clever as Mother Nature, who has a far better alternative that grows up out of the dirt and is ready for use as is, without any further processing, boiling, mashing, brewing, bottling or aging. Making bread requires more processing...... I know which one my money is on.

I knew you were the voice of reason. I still can't fathom why anyone likes a gin and tonic. The drink originated when sailors put gin into their required ration of tonic water to make it at all tolerable. They would have used something else if gin wasn't, as it still is today, dirt cheap.

Of course I'm sure we'll hear from the masses about how they like a drink that reminds them of chewing on junipers as a kid.

Um...no. James Bond's signature drink is and always has been a Vodka Martini - 1 1/2oz oz vodka and 3/4oz dry vermouth. Shaken, not stirred.

Is and always? Definitely not always.

Perhaps the Hollywood Bond drinks vodka martinis but in the original Ian Fleming James Bond novels, the original Bond most certainly drank Gin Martinis. He actually switches back and forth between the Gin and Vodka. Variety is the spice of life.

bourbon. good whiskey (not the watered down swill jack daniels turned into). jim beam specifically if i'm mixing it, and only squirt or 50/50 will do.

if i'm not mixing, then it's knob creek (owned by the jim beam distillery, and interestingly enough, old man beam bought the knob creek property from abraham lincoln's father)

and if i've got money to burn, then it's bookers, a handmade bourbon made by jim beam. each bottle has the proof handwritten on it since it changes slightly from batch to batch, the bottle i have at home is a stout 114 proof, crazy delicious.

i'm lucky enough to have a wife who understands me and let me visit the jim beam distillery on our honeymoon, never has the grass been so green or the skies so blue

Yeah bourbon is nice. I always liked Wild Turkey 101. It's so smooth that to me, it actually tastes "mellower" than the regular Wild Turkey(85 proof?) but you will find out soon enough that it is 50% alcohol.

I am a fan of a good whiskey sour at the bar (has to be good mix though, if its that watery tasteless stuff I can hack it. I want it SOUR hence the name)

My private drink at home though is Southern Comfort and 7 up.

My wife is a fan of the panty removers...I mean singapour slings....

I prefer the movies over the books. And Roger Moore was the best Bond of them all.
