Liquor preferences?
Well, I see there's a thread for beer, so I figured maybe one for liquor can't hurt.
So, what's your poison?
My choice is bourbon. Either Maker's Mark or Woodford Reserve. I prefer it to be served up either neat or on the rocks.

Cabrito is my favorite. It is nice and mellow going down. Yet still lights a bit of a fire after a couple of seconds.
I have lost my taste for bourbon and whiskey. But my dad and I used to drink a lot of Makers Mark and Bushmills. But I moved out of the house and we both quit drinking it. I guess we just liked to drink it together. Now neither one of us drink whiskey.

Well I'll do the vodka. I like vanilla vodka in my coke - Stohli for casual. Grey Goose for sophisticated drinking
Captain Morgan in my coke
JD in my Coke
Amaretto straight on a cold day is just warm and fuzzy.
I hardly touch Sake - it would kill me in doses larger than one serving.
Tequila - there is Petron in the hutch, Cuervo silver out for casual/mix drinks
As for wines, I prefer white over reds. Moscatos I'm a sucker for. Chardonnay most often. Reds on nice dinner occasions

My bro got me a sampler of all three petrons for christmas last year. I guess Im a big wuss because it was just too rough for me. Im a moderate type of guy. I like my drinks mild and smooth. But he said that everyone that comes into his work (liquor store) likes the petron the best out of the tequilas.Shorts wrote:

I like an assortment but I often have a Maker's neat unless they have something better.
In days past many watering holes retained talented staff. The bar tender would make his specialty if asked. Recently the conversation changed for the worse.
Bartender: What can I get for you?
Me: What's your specialty?
Bartender: What's that supposed to mean?
Me: It's your favorite drink made better than all the rest.
Bartender: Oh- then they're all my specialty
Me: Cool, I'll take a Yuengling.
Can't trust these new guys.

Of course I'm sure we'll hear from the masses about how they like a drink that reminds them of chewing on junipers as a kid.

Spirits? - Yuk! Just can't understand what people see in them. Guess I am missing out on something here.
