I have easily over $2500 in tools. I buy them as I need them, which is usually when a boyfriend leaves to replace what I originally had. :x I always get a manual for each bike I get as well.

All my tools are hammers and rasps. If it won't bang into place, file on it til it does. Oh yes, anybody ever seen a Vise-Grip torque wrench? :)

Actually, I would estimate I have about $10k in hand tools, plus another thou in electrics. I have never held back on buying tools when I need 'em.

down here we dont fool with them store bought tork renchs we just take a bolt and tighten it as tight as it will possibly go then another round and a half.

So do you use German specs for tightening bolts (gutten-tight) or the "ratchet down until it snaps, then back off a half turn" approach?

Tools scare me :shock: Snap on owns me :( I'll never get all this stuff paid for, got more $$$$ in tools than I have in my home. :cry: I'm so nuts that I even have tools that I invented and then fabricated. :? It's a sickness,,,,, HHHEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP :banging:

That's not how you do it. :roll: Everyone knows you tighten it 'till it gets loose again, then back it off a quarter turn. 8)

I generally go for, tighten it, till the end breaks off, then shout a bit
