My g/f now has a bad back, so she can't ride with me, so if we go together, it's in her car. So I'll jump at the chance to run to wal-mart if it's a small trip.

But a few weeks ago I went to San Antonio, then Austin, and back to here (Baton Rouge). That was fun. SA likes to run me over more than either here or Austin. Pretty between SA & Austin. I had a little time crunch, so I had to take interstate to/from BR.
I have a friend in Florida from Baton Rouge he tells me the best PO'Boys come from there. I lived in Slidell Louisiana for a time and had what I thought were damn good PO'Boys I want to make it there and see for myself who has the best.

Thanks for all the rest for leaving a message it is fun to read them.

Only the ones that are obsessing about Harleys and not enjoying what they do.

It does not matter what you ride but any rider that makes fun of other riders based on their choice of brand of bikes is nothing but an insecure :arse: and most likely got short changed on certain part of their anatomy.

I really like my Harley, but I'm not an "O Ring" about it. I like all kinds and sizes of bikes...

Nothing wrong with liking a certain brand or type of bike! :D

You sound like you really bonded with your Road Glide. Do you feel the same kind of connection with the Ural?

Yes, I realise that. That's why I've been a member here at TMW since 2005, it's one of the few places where I usually don't get a lot of hassles because I ride an HD.

About 4 hours. Distance (depending on bike terrain...etc) of as little as 5 miles (with trail bike on gnarly single track) to well over 200 on the larger street bikes. (this of course is assuming that there are no yard sales on the route)
