I am with Jack on that one too.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

Re: This Week - 2012 Yamaha Raider SCL: Vote & Discuss
I voted: Awesome
I can easly see the points of how the 2012 Yamaha Raider has innovated their design while copying other successful design ideas as well. It's a chopper and there really are only so many ways to create the classic look without looking ugly or like something else and I feel Yamaha did a great design job with the the Raider. I really love how the pipes flow and work with the liquid aero-dynamic feel of the bike (if you can say that about a chopper!). I haven't rode a Raider but I have sat on one in the showroom and it feels much more substantial than the Dyna Wide Glide, but it also feels more heavy to move around, it would be interesting how this would translate on the road.
The SCL is Yamaha's "CVO" division as I understand it, and it's nice to see someone outside of Harley-Davidson creating a special customs division to produce some really nice works of art. I'd like to see Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki do the same too.

Yecck, just awful. IMHO, the SCL has just waaaaay too much chrome, bling and two-tone cr@p, and looks dated as a result.
Good thing it's just a special edition, and the regular Raiders are still available.

Re: 2012 Yamaha Raider SCL: Voted Awesome
Sorry that I missed this one - if I hadn't I would be breaking out the barfy emoticon. Holy crap is that thing ugly. I looks like the Hyosung that got beat with the ugly stick. It may be functional, and I believe Dr. Bar on that one but cool it is not. Superfail!

Re: 2012 Yamaha Raider SCL: Voted Awesome
I have been on demo rides a couple of times on a Raider. If I had the money I'd own one. It was great to ride.
