Even though I don't think it's a cool bike, I'll still give it a cool because I think riders who own these things are cool.
They obviously don't give a rat's ^%$ about looks, image, sportiness, trends, lifestyle, whatever's the hot new bike genre, what rider group do I fit into, or any of that bull. Heck, they don't even care about getting a "cool" scooter like a Vespa. Chances are these guys chose this thing because riding a lot is the most important thing; they want to go longer distances comfortably without the expense, excess baggage (both literal and figurative) of, say, a full-dress tourer or an adv bike. And that's pretty cool in my book.

Re: This Week: 2014 Suzuki Burgman 650 ABS - Vote Now
I voted Cool.
Would I ever own one? No. Would I want to ride one? No. But, cool because...
When Suzuki first introduced this it was because a lot of older riders were finding the full touring bikes (ie, Gold Wing) just too heavy to be comfortable with and the answer was a lighter, more maneuverable (and cheaper vs the Gold Wing) mega scooter.
It really is a great idea and a great invention, it fits it's market (older riders can afford this if you can afford a gold wing) and 650cc is plenty enough to tour (not set speed records) on the highway.
Really great idea really even IF the design isn't appealing to the younger rider.

Your Coolness Factor of the 2014 Suzuki Burgman 650 ABS is:
Awesome (3 points) 3% [ 1 ]
Cool (2 points) 29% [ 10 ]
Uncool (1 point) 40% [ 14 ]
Fail (0 point) 29% [ 10 ]
Total votes : 35
= a Coolwall Factor of 35.2%
NOTES: Wow, the big mega scooter from Suzuki get a big mega hammer on the results. At just 35.2% cool. I feel bad for it as I really think it deserves more, it's the scooter that started the "mega-scooter" class here in North America and really does offer riders (especially older one) who want to tour a real opportunity to do so on a light bike with lots of luggage room. But for looked, price and performance, I can see Suzuki has their work cut out for them.
Next 2014 TMW Cool Wall bike is now up for voting on, have fun!

Ouch!
I don't think this luxo scooter deserves such a terrible rating...horrific name notwithstanding.

It's not a scooter. It's a touring motorcycle that happens to have a step-through frame and CVT!montanalifter wrote:Reading the stats I like it and then you look at it and are frightened. Uncool. That and a 11k price for a scooter.
