Why doesn't anyone like sportsters?

I think they look cool. Haven't ridden one, but then again I haven't ridden lots of bikes.

Well here's the deal, they are over priced, heavy, slow and on top of that the "Motor Company People" don't really even care for them because as I've been told by the "Motor Company People" 'those ain't real Harley's , those are half a Harleys'......

I did, at one time own a '72 XLCH (kick start only among other things) and IN IT'S DAY it was a bad "O Ring" bike. Not so anymore, long since superceeded by any number of Asian/European bikes.

If you like the looks and want to pay the "Motor Company's" premium, go for it.

Don't say you weren't forewarned.

I liked mine too.....it just didn't like me. :( It did awaken me to what the "Motor Company" was all about. I read everything there was on the "Motor Company", all the bikes and history ect.

I still won't ever own another unless I get a really good deal on a pre-1970's big twin or preferably a flat head. I won't hold my breath.

There's plenty of bikes I'd rather have, but I'd gladly spend a year or so on a sportster 1200 - not saying it's the best bike for the money, just that it's a nice bike

My supervisor rides a sportster. Loves it, too, though he's actually going to be bobbing it soon.

I'll find otu Oct 1, that's when the party is, theres only 400 people who get keys and there's also 5 leather jackets up for grabs.

I'm excited but I'm not getting my hopes up because my luck is terrible :D
