Hm... I have yet to buy a "favorite" bike. I've decommissioned 2 of my bikes and my current runner is the 1991 BMW r80. It's a great utilitarian bike, doesn't notice if you have a passenger and a full compliment of luggage - it just chugs along all day. Here in Naples, I do very little "Pleasure Riding" and traffic is so nutty that going out on the bike is a real exercise in concentration. I don't do much riding on the weekends out in the country - just don't have the tme
I think I'd like a new bike one of these days that I don't have to worry about maintaining) outside of the 'regular' stuff like oil changes, etc... I think that will be my favorite bike
I'm tired of carrying around a full toolkit and some spare parts "Just in case"
Least favorite bike - 1988 Honda cbr1000f Hurricane -
Why? It was a GREAT bike, comfortable, FAST, easy to ride ... but one day when I was riding there was a godawful noise - The Hyvo chain driving the oil pump had failed sending chain bits and pieces all through the transmission gears - requiring complete transmission rebuild. Luckily my buddy (Who owns a japanese bike wrecking yard) happened to have a trashed cbr1000 on his lot (Siezed engine). He let me take it apart and get what i needed to transfer to my bike for free (Junkyards are AWESOME) anyway
so much for honda quality
