Stop going 65 1/2 in the fast lane then...

You're more liable to kill yourself driving like a pansy than keeping up with the normal flow of traffic...

This is true. When it comes to the fast lane, THEN i hate the peeps doing 65. Unless of course they're in that lane for a valid reason, ie accident/cop/tree on the highway (has happened a few times out here).

Oh I'm bad, bad bad.

This is one thing I struggle with. I get very impatient with slow drivers. And when I'm impatient, I'm not such a good rider myself. I've got used to riding relatively fast (not crazy, just fast), and I grumble to myself if I get stuck behind someone who is doing anything under the limit - especially if it is on a piece of road I particularly like. Speed is an addiction and has to be managed.

Yep, me too. I'm overtaking on the left more often these days.

What I seem to gather from many of this posts is that many of you riders are out there riding for mere fun. You ride fast over the limit, pass on the wronge side of the road, do the bird at slower drivers. I think you riders belong on a race track of some kind. Dirt, cross country, 1/8 Or 1/4 mile tracks are available all over the country. When you are on the track it makes it safer for us slower drivers to be on the roads, driving within the laws. I am too old to drive like a crazy man any more.

Mere fun!! :D

Niterider. Don't you realise you are calling into question one of the highest motivations for getting on a bike?

Somewhere along the line there must be a way of riding safely AND having fun. Still it IS often difficult to keep the  's in the box.

:) Enjoy.

Passing on the 'wrong' side is now no longer illegal here in the UK (I'm told - must check that out) so long as it is done carefully and it doesn't thereaten to cause an accident. Our roads are so congested, and traffic so continuous in all lanes that 'the wrong side' is often a bit of a meaningless idea nowadays.

Okay I have to let a cat out of the box. I used to be crazy myself. I had a cup holder on my bike, any guesses as to what I used it for? No one will ever guess, for my BEER!!! Enjoy bike riding the best way you know how.

I should swerve around everyone and act like a jerk on the road so you don't think I'm driving like a 'pansy'. How fast should I go to break from pansy status? 70? 80? Who decides? You I guess.

Enjoy your ticket. I just hope I don't see you smear someone across the road while you try to teach them that YOU own the road.
