well, I did 2 cross country's on an 83 VT750C Shadow. Ran it to around 32-33K, sold it to a buddy, and he took it over 100K

Probably will be a better starter bike... good torque, very forgiving.

You are correct, I thought the 500 was gone by 85 but it was not. :lol: 85 was first year for the 1100 as I recall.

Yep, it was... I think it was actually the fastest 1100 Shadow they ever made as well. Fast is relative however.... :lol:
