You mean like you're going 60 in 4th, then you click down three gears and pop the clutch while still doing 60? On a regular bike, there would be one hell of a lurtch and jerk - lotta strain on the whole drivetrain. Not smooth, probably not real safe for the rider either. On your GSXR, I don't know what high-tech goodies the Suzuki engineers have added to deal with such things. You would want to bring engine revs up real high before letting the clutch out.
I was watching Formula 1 today, it was amazing to see the drivers run down from 7th to 2nd at corner entry at very high speeds without overreving the mill. A different kind of machine, for sure.

At higher speeds, yes. That is, unless you like locking up your rear tire and having the rearend of your bike pass up the front.

well, like i said, i don't plan on trying it ...unless there's a purpose for it like when you gave the example of cornering.
i was just curious. thanks!

Those things that require roads to have plenty of corners and switchbacks.

Umm... no thanks.

Pulling the clutch and coasting downhill is generally a bad idea on a bike or in a car. I dont think anybody would ever teach such a technique.

Pulling in the clutch going downhill will INCREASE your speed and then you have to over compensate with extra braking and you have less control. Just let off the gas and let the engine do the work for you. Increase throttle if required.
