Excuse me? What northeast do you live in? Five minutes ago I came in from a 7 mile ride back from my father's house.....10 lights on that route, at least 6 run by inductive loop detectors.

I live in New Jersey, over the last few years these lights are popping up like crazy... anyway, I tried one of those strips and it didn't work. I have to run a left turn arrow light every single morning when I ride to work. Many of the lights around here now also use little motion detectors or cameras (you can see them by the lights) and they also do not recognize motorcycles.... friggin sux.

These sensor lights are everywhere in Conn. I got stuck at one yesterday & had to wait for a cage to trip it.

I don't live in the middle of nowhere but I can see it from my porch. We don't have any of these things.

So we just wait a cycle of lights or two and then go through. Still makes me feel a little squirelly doing it.

The best "trick" is to stop with your tires on the line so it can pick up the metal in the bike.
If that doesn't work try some of the other suggestions.
If you run it and get pulled over it's like anything else.. it depends on the mood of the officers spouse before they went to work that day.
Most should be understanding, although I would take into account the prevailing attitude in the area you live.

here in seattle, we got 'em. they suck, and yes, i bought one of those strips, and yes it works at least 90% of the time.
ive got more of a magnet i strap underneith. of coures it was sold as a "earth magnet", propably to deter you from finding out any ol magnet would do.
havent tried any ol magnet yet............. someday.
but i have noticed lights that didnt used to change, change!

I had a problem with signal sensirs also and purchased a Signal Sorcer... that was over a year ago and i have yet to not trigger the sensors I encounter. Don't ask me why; I even tried it on my bicycle a couple of times and it never failed me ,,

how big a magnet would you have to put under your bike to get this "trick" to work. Of cousre it could be fun actually trying to find any ferrous metal under my bike to stick it to

mine straps on with zip ties to the frame. suppose youd have to drill a couple of small holes to do that to a normal magnet.
