nah, im ok w/ shifting, i rarely let the clutch in/out too fast which causes a minor jolt in those rare times. and im fine w/ blipping the throttle.

the unsmooth FI is very obvious when im starting out from a stop. no matter how careful i am... it still feels sluggish (for lack of a better word).

then i found out about the mentally challenged limiter and that's the reason for it.

I actually started to post the numerous reasons why I think that, but I deleted it all because I know it will just fall on deaf ears.
yeah i did lose control of the bike when i hit loose gravel in a downhill decreasing radius turn while practicing cornering lines.

not a hard mistake to make. im sure many riders have messed up on those kind of turns before.

again, im not gonna do this if im already having trouble regarding how much power i want to use on my bike.
again, i've never once said anything about your bikes power and your ability to handle it. are you sure you're reading my posts?
You could have had that wreck on a moped and probably would have.

What im saying, based solely on observation here, is that you're more concerned with putting stickers on your helmet, and looking like a .45 toting ninja, then learning how to do things how 9 out of 10 people here perceive as the RIGHT way.

Thats all I'm sayin, and now I did, so, carry on..

why thanks, i like my suit but it seems it's made for people w/ big guts.

it fits snug in my chest area but it's too loose on the waist.

Actually, I'm going to say that you're to concerned with the damn image of being a biker to ever be a real biker.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

i'll admit i am concerned about looks but im sure you know how much i would like to improve my skills.

that's why i practice at the canyons. and that's also why im setting up parking lot sessions every month.

also regarding the throttle control... it's not just about keeping it low rpms, that's just one way i do throttle control by limiting how much rpm i did during the break-in period.

i also do throttle control w/ maintenance throttle and decelerating w/o using brakes and clutch, adjusting speed etc.

That's it, I'm done, I give up. Buy what you want for your bike, ride your bike how you want to. And wear whatever you think looks cool. You obviously know better then the dozen or so people who are suggesting you not be doing what you're doing, and who have a vested interest in not seeing you wind up street pizza. I mean, we've never seen you ride, all we have to go on is your posts, so what could we possibly know?

I mean, if your sensie told you to, "put down the sword and practise with the bokken." What would you do? Seriously, what would you do? Would you continue to swing around the piece of sharpened metal beacuse you think you're ready? Or would you put it down and pull out the training sword because the "expert" told you that's what you should be using?

Just do yourself a favour don't post about any accidents you might have, because in all honesty you're just going to get "I told you so," X1 million.

i'll try and find somebody to follow me around in a car in the canyons w/ a video camera.

this way, i can get good criticism from you guys on how to improve since you will see me ride and point out my mistakes and therefore i'll be able to work on them.

LoL, I've been waiting for this

Mistakes:

1) buying a gsx-r1000
2) not selling it for a smaller bike
3) riding it around before the msf at LOW speeds causing improper sealing and oil burning. Loss of HP as result.
4) attempting to regain lost HP because of lousy breakin
5) ignoring advice of many board experts
6-12) see number 5
13)you sit to far forwards and curl over to much, you're resting your weight on your arms, squeeze the tank with your knees and hold yourself up with your back muscles
14) not listening to the advice of board members
15) trying to get a knee down without trusting your bike
16) going canyon carving long before you're ready
17) wanting to be speed racer

Should I keep going?
