Oh, no!

And I was hoping to make one of these mine when my Shadow finally craps out, so long as it fits. Sexy little bikes for short people are so hard to find.
Ooooooh. Shiny!

Still no news yet from the dealer. But the parts guy called and said the new replacement oil dipstick ring was in. :D

MmeMagpie, so far I wouldn't worry about it too much about it, all bikes will have some issue new. This one is quite a rare one so I can't see it coming up on other bikes. I would definately not have this rare issue stop you from trying it out. It is an awesome, awesome bike. Amazingly enough it also seems to fit tall riders (6'4") good too. :D

I did find a fix for it:

Great news! The dealer called and my bike is ready to be picked up tomorrow morning. Yay!

I'm sure it's a little embarassed as it is in potty training stage and had a little oops.

Update: Just picked up my bike a couple hours ago from MPH Cycles and they did a great job getting it road worthy again. While it was in the shop I also got the 1st service done as well on it.

In the end they replaced the oil dipstick and the o-ring seal, took it out for a ride and it was as good as new again. After I picked it up I washed off (a few times) oil left on the bike and re-polished the chrome bits as well. Now it looks better than new and I'm really happy with it again. :D

I have to agree with Andrea and the others on here that the flat black paint job does look awesome on it. Can't wait to take it for a longer spin. Even though it leaked oil on me, seeing it "back in black" got my heart racing again to ride it. :revv:

So far, so good, not a drop of oil on the floor (knock on wood). :D

I have to be honest and say that I have been watching the oil dipstick quite closely and checking the tightness of it. Seems the Guzzi has a little work to show me it won't leak again, but so far is passing that with flying colors. It won't be long before I forget all about it. That said, I'm really enjoying the ride, I did miss it and the sound is still awesome. :revv:
