Well, I'm sure she was impressed if his intention was to impersonate a bag of trash rolling down the highway. Good show, mate! With full gear I'm sure the get-off would be as scary...but less painful, eh?

Ew, ouch and yuck...! An instructor had printed & enlarged those photos and passed them around yesterday 1st thing in the morning at our street skills class. He'd even had her foot highlighted as shown in minty's post.

Where are the aftermath pics?

After a disaster like that there are likely to be bits of jeans and coochie-meat strewn about the road for weeks to come.

I can't help but wonder if the driver or passenger of any of the bikes I see around here in the summer have any brains at all. I see guys in shorts, sunglasses, no shirts, no helmets, sneakers, with girls in flop flops and skimpy bikini's. It must be an image thing!!

But if so, then I would think the thought of falling and both being stripped naked in 1/2 a second, then lying there on the hot pavement looking like a large naked scab as car loads of families drive by gawking would be enough to get them to wear something, as that couldn't be good for their image! Especially when it makes the newspapers!

I saw a chart somewhere once that gave ratings of different materials on pavement. I think it was some European standards thingy. I remember it said jeans have a .6 rating. Meaning jeans will shred within .6 seconds after impacting pavement.
Do you know the ratings for typical textile or leather jackets?

hmmm, well I did find this http://neptune.spacebears.com/opine/denim.html

And It's not untrue eather as I have lowsided twice on my motorcycle once going 10mph and the other time going 40mph, the jeans didn't shred, although under my jeans I still got some minor scrapes, and I got a bruised knee also, anyways It was enough to make me go out and buy some Joe rocket pants with knee and shin protection, only thing thats left on my gear list is some true motorcycle boots, my current ones only come up about 7inches.

Although I guess it could of been that I'm wearing thick jeans, when I first got them they where very stiff but I've had them for 3 years, and I guess they where the best pair I got cause my other two pair I got where damn fashion jeans (luckys) and they where sheded by bicycle slides, my 20Xs have held up though.
