That's a lot worse than I was expecting, but those are just early reports. I doubt they'll announce the full extent of the injuries for a while.

I read somewhere that they didn't expect the injuries to be life threatening, but who knows?

Still curious what kind of bike it was...

At the time of this post MSNBC has a picture of his bike...doesn't say what it is, but its a sportbike....

Not saying that has anything to do with it of course.....just answering a question...

I read broken nose, broken jaw. Sounds like the full-face could have done quite a bit of good here. Unless you are one of those people who believe the added weight of his helmet would have caused his head to fly off his body. In that case, not wearing the helmet saved his life.

Broken jaw? Doesn't sound like he'll be ready to play anytime soon. Maybe by the season opener if they're lucky.

riding a nitous powered haybusa is completely okay
Hell, Shaq is so huge that a 'busa to him is like an ex250 to the rest of us.

The bike is a 05 Suzuki Hayabusa. He received it for doing promotions for Suzuki by showing up to various Suzuki dealerships.

Shaq also has a super-stretched West Coast Chopper.

Just saw this...

"Reports added that a car, with Maine license plates, was traveling in the opposite direction of Roethlisberger's motorcycle and turned left. Roethlisberger was unable to stop and the motorcycle hit the passenger side door. "

That's not a shocker. That was the #1 cause for MC accidents involving another vehicle in The Hurt Report.

So the fault is on the other guy?

Either way, it's his fault for not wearing a helmet!

yeah, it's the car's fault. that's how i got into a car accident. left turner's is almost always at fault.

i won the court case. i used the money and added more to get me a used 1994 Mazda MX-6.
