My wife is going down to Barber next weekend for a Track Day. It will be our first. It looks like it will be an absolute blast!
She's scheduled through
Sport Bike Track Time and
FemMoto.
They even have some "Cruiser Track Days" scheduled. I'll have to wait my turn for one of those.

Yeah, this past one I believe was sponsored by Private Track Time. Our clubs sponsors it's own track days though. We had one in June and another coming in September. A perk of being in a riding club, no one is a jerk/squid rider

From what I hear, trying to do a track day with squids is rough as they absolutely crawl around the turns and then blast past you on their souped up Gixxer 1000 on the straights, then you're behind them again for the turns...

We will! I'm looking forward to it as much as she is.

LOL Why is that strange?
Actually, we bought the big cruiser to ride 2up on long trips (which we've done several times) but she soon wanted her own bike and she loves the sport bike riding position (me - not so much. My old knees can't take being bent like that for too long).
But we we at the dealership today....the new Yamaha FJR's look *sweet* and very well may be my next ride.....

LOL Me too! But it won't be until next year at the earliest - I only bought my RSTD back in December. It's a little soon to be looking at replacing it. After all, I've only put 16k miles on it so far.

FJR1300 is a beastly bike! Might be a bit...hefty at the track, but I guess ya never know. I've never been on one, and I guess if you can take a Hayabusa there you can work with an FJR as well.

I doubt I'd want to take it to the track (in the beginning, at least....

) But I'm pretty sure it will be my next bike if only because it has lots of power for 2Up, nice looks and looks like I can lean it into the twisties around Deals Gap a bit more than my Royal Star.
