Yeah, I guess it's true that if you're looking down from your own vehicle it's going to look faster that what I'm seeing from a straight-on angle. Hmmm... now I'm in the mood for a really fast ride so that I can look at the road.
Cheers,

It's an earlier Busa turbo'd in France, the footage has been around for about 5 years.
The wheelie is between 70 and 140mph - I've no reason to disbelieve it following footage of types like Ghostrider pulling wheelies in that range while evading the Police.
DRam wrote:The outside numbers are the kph scale, inside number mph scale. Triple digits on the inside scale start at about 180 kph. 180 kph = 108 mph. 220kph = 132 mph. The wheelie seemed to end at about 140 kph, or 84 mph.
The first time I came across the footage it was a bigger picture and the numbers inside the track were easier to see - form memory the inside are kph
It's not in France, it's in the US, the guy that owns the bike is on our hayabusa board. There are no gauge alterations or sprocket changes. It's real.

Here is his response to this topic the last time it came up on the busa forum
OH NO .... Not this subject again
Well that bike is no longer ... The one I am building now will make that bike look/seem boring & slow
I won't even bother responding ... read this link please
http://www.hayabusa.org/cgi-bin....;hl=pop
and yeah yeah yeah ... the lines aren't going by fast enough ... no way you shift that late ... blah blah blah
FYI ... I posted a video of a top speed run on my at the time brand new 05 Busa - still had the damn temp tags on - wouldn't go any faster - we all know a stocker pegged out is prob doing high 170s - low 180s - look at the damn lines on this one - looks like i'm crawling .... look at my closure speed
http://www.hayabusa.org/cgi-bin....robopti
and then ... I FREAKING promise you ... I was pouring on a lil power in this video ... and this was 6 FREAKING psi - My LOWEST boost setting at the time on the silver bike ... and it was a joke .. ask the 2 lame "O Ring" R1s at the end what they think of 6psi .. and i was handling the throttle like a fine ##### - didn't even bother downshifting .. and yes ... look at those slow slow lines
http://www.hayabusa.org/cgi-bin....robopti
NOW ... I've said it once ... and I'll say it again ... of course this will be in reference to my new bike which is literally 10-14 days away from be finished ... ANYONE - AND I MEAN ANYONE that doesn't think my bike will go that fast that quickly or would like to know what power is all about - bring your happy "O Ring" down to what's left of New Orleans - and I'll give ya a first hand glimpse into POWER - then we'll go grab a million beers on Bourbon Street
Here's a tiny glimpse of my new machine - and again - my silver bike will be a TURD compared to this one
AND OH BY THE WAY .... My 2 best fastest GPS'd speeds on the silver bike
Pics as soon as they develop

You looking at the road is totally different than a camera with a fast shutter speed looking at the road. If he used a good camera w/ a high ISO equivalence and a fast shutter speed even a 200+MPH road woud look sharp and still. Drop the shutter speed and it'll look blurry though.
