I am confused by your use of the words brake and powerslide together. Powersliding is exactly that, a controlled slide, under power, exiting a corner.
Backing it in involves stomping the bike down a few gears coming into a corner and using the compression lock up to step the rear of the bike out for a tighter line through the corner.
My point about the drum brake is that you will not find 17in spoked wheels with a drum on the rear worthy of motard riding. As stated by MontyCarlo, they are full-on racing type bikes with strong frames and big suspenders.
thanks.
oh well, looks like im not made for supermoto... their seat heights are too hig for me.

I see you say this, and I don't think you understand that dirtbikes aren't built to be ridden the same way street bikes are. Very few people are tall enough to be able to flat-foot even a short dirtbike. You just lean the bike over and hold it up with one foot. Simple enough. Here's a good example:

Oh man...
Does anyone else find that Suzuki 400SM a simply beautiful creature? That would certainly be one ridiculously fun bike. My only concern is that beyond urban and quick riding, it'd pretty much suck on freeways or for any length of ride...
You could ride the hell out of that thing tho.

i see... i guess i should be able to manage the DR supermoto's 35" seat height.
this K7 model even has the same color pattern as my 750.
someday... maybe i will get to own one.

I can understand the indimidation factor but once you actually throw a leg over the thing it clicks and you go "Oh, so THAT'S how you ride it."

ahh, so they have a softer suspension.
on my gixxer, i don't even compress the rear shock when i sit.

Nah, the suspension's not softer. What I mean is that once the bike is moving the seat height become irrelevant. When you come to a stop you just automatically do what you have to in order to keep the bike from falling. The intimidation disappears faster than you'd think.

Uh, Verm? I'm going to ask a stupid question that I may regret. Do you understand what Supermoto is?
As a side note, do you know what one of the most popular training motorcycles is for professional road racers. The Honda XR100 dirt bike. Now, you figure it out and tell me why.
