Depending on distance, I'd be a willing participant. I'm in NW Pennsylvania. Not sure I could make it to one next year unless it's close. My family is planning a big Disney trip so, that's going to suck up most of my cash and vacation. And, for anything overnight, I'd have to get the wife's approval since she isn't a rider or a pillion. Maybe I could talk her into being a "chase car"? Hmmmm...

How'bout on August 15th? I'll be making a guest appearance at all location on the island that week. Anyone else going to be out there then?

Now my dots were just randomly place in places that it seemed would be central for the most amount of states. It can be modified as the results of any polls come in.

Montana might be close enough that some of our Canadien friends could come down if they are close enough.
man, im not sure which one would be worse, that one smack in the middle of the nevada desert, or that one smack in the middle on Canz-Azz

I'd be willing to partake in an event as long as it is reasonably close. Also, part of the decision process of where we hold the event should be if there are good roads to ride nearby. Shooting the breeze with fellow riders is ok, but I'd rather be riding with you guys/gals.

Sturgis would not be a bad central location (not during bike week of course). there are some good riding roads around there. Plus its not exactly a long ride for me (i've pulled longer stretches on the bike in one day than that).

The denver area might not be a bad choice for a western regional meeting, tons of great riding roads and breathtaking scenery.

as for a US national meeting place. How about deals gap. Though I would probably need about a year to plan for that one (or any one that is more than about 2 states away).

I would be open to a location in canada as well, always wanted to see the canadian rockies.

This is a darn good idea. I think regional meets would be good. I'd be willing to ride 500 miles from home. If I had a more comfortable bike I would go 1,000 miles. (Hopefully, I'll get a more comfortable bike next year)

Just a couple of questions. Is this a meet to ride bikes around or just to meet people from the board ? How long would it last ?

A couple of additional thoughts. It mite be fun to meet at some of this countries natural wonders. Such as; Niagra Falls, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Crater Lake, or Colorado Rockies.

It mite also be good to meet at a place where motorcycle rentals are available. For instance, Las Vegas I could never ride that far, but could fly and rent when I get there.

No one mentioned Washington DC ?

I'd definitely attend if it is near DC. Skyline Drive is some beautiful riding.

It's a meet to ride bikes around with people from the board!

I'd like to see at least a 3-day, 2-night sorta thing. Give us all a chance to kick it around a campfire a couple of times.

Excellent suggestion! It might be even better to make sure the places are well-known biker destinations, like Deal's Gap, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Triple-Nickel, etc. That way you can be sure to get lots of good riding in, too. A beach destination would also be hella nice!!! 8)
