But surely she'll be over your weight limit the minute she puts a lid on???

nah, gear weight is not part of my under 130lbs pasenger limit.

i weigh 10+lbs more w/ my gear on... sad thing is i still don't compress the springs when i sit on the bike. i heard the stock suspension for my bike is geared for riders around the 180lbs mark. i need a softer shock spring at least since a full shock and suspension upgrade is very expensive.

i dunno... they didn't charge me for it since they said they can't do much w/o at least changing to a softer spring. it's supposed to be $35 bucks to setup your static sag but no charge for me.

of course, it's possible they just didn't charge me in hopes of getting more money from me by buying suspension upgrades from them.

but they're a well known suspension shop around here. i doubt they're trying to pull a fast on me. their business is doing fine. they like seem honest people.

I know! I've put on like 10 pounds since college. Now I'm a 166 lbs 5'11'' guy... wait... still normal for my size... right?

yeah maybe i will take it to another shop for a 2nd opinion.

but the guys at racetech suspensions already did adjust my shock. they said that's all they can do and they said i might not even feel the difference.

there's this other company but im not sure if they have a branch here in SoCal... it's called GP suspension.

Heh. Don't feel alone Verm. I'm 23, and stable at 135lbs and I'm 5'8".

My fiancee and her friend were driving behind me one night following me to my house and they said I looked like a girl on my bike since I don't have that big frame/gut, etc.

I wasn't prepared for a statement like that so I just shrugged and explained that with my rain gear on I'd probably look fatter.
