nope, no NPR, has Fox news, CNN (as does Sirius) and BBC.
they do have a XM Public radio station that I never listen to (doesnt concern me)
I stick to the Opie and Anthony Show, Ron and Fez, and the music stations that play some good loud music.
like I said, Id prolly be a sirius fan if My SUV had come with it free like it did weith the XM. Sirius does have CBC radio, which I miss.
Heres a comparrison between the two.

I always took a lunch to work - when I used to work, that is. "Scan" did as well. We never, ever were able to afford a lunch out on a regular basis back then. Going out was a special treat, which I always appreciated. I would still leave the building though - drive to a nice park, listen to music, even take a nap sometimes.
Nowadays we both eat at home because that's where we are. The kids take their lunches to school every day. Even in the 21st century, school food is about as whack as it's ever been. IMO it's disgusting what the public schools try to pass off as a "healthy" menu. Once in awhile, if Scan gets a break in his work day, we'll hop on the bikes and go out to Panera or something like that. When I'm working at the theater at night (I typically work from 6-11 PM), I'll take a Trader Joe's rice bowl to throw in the nuker. And then it's popcorn with nutritional yeast on top for dessert - Yummy!!
Cheers,
Loonette

I USED to make lunch for hubby - then he started to complain about it!
I agree - melty cheese IS awesome!
Do you ever a day where you feel like being "bad" and just eat a "big grab" bag of fritos for lunch?
Lonnette - what is nutritional yeast? What does it do for you?
(I used to eat bee pollen, but now can't find the one I used to get....it was like a super energy boost!)

Holiday...don't fall for the Starbucks ploy! Its just coffee. At $4 you must be buying a latte, you can make your own at home in 5 minutes with a small $25 espresso machine from Target or something...cost to you, about 30 cents! Starbucks is okay once and a while but I can't see how people can drink it on a regular basis. Its way overpriced and most of their customers dont even drink coffee, just a shot of espresso covered with milk, sugar, and sugar-based flavored syrups. Not including the frozen drinks, which are just artificially flavored powders anyway.
I have Sirius, its fine. If I had XM, I wouldn't know the difference. They are the same. I was pretty mad when I was still paying $12/mo for my service though and Sirius spent a bazillion dollars on some loud cursing shmuck.

You're right, I just honestly dont mind paying for the convienence of having them make it. My drink is a Venti Soy Chai Latte no water, and my ex purchased a machine, bought cups and and soy and whatever the other ingredients are and made it for me every day. That was very nice of her, but I really cant be bothered with making the drink every morning, when I can pay some schmuck 4 bucks twice a week to do it for me.CNF2002 wrote:Holiday...don't fall for the Starbucks ploy! I also know all about the ingredients that go into those other crap starbucks drinks. One of my best friends is a Manager at a starbucks and told me all about it. But the only drink I ever get is my chai latte and there is no powder in that one.
In fact recently, I kinda forgot, I dont pay for my drinks at all, as my manager friend send me an entire book of free drink coupons! Before that it was indeed $4 which i agree is a rip off, but one thats worth it to me.
