when I ride my dirt bike with my good friend Travis Pastrana we dump and fall off our dirt bikes all the time, its ok to dump a dirt bike, it won't harm it, but dumping a street bike causes some expensive damage. I may suggest you to learn to ride a smaller dirt bike before riding any street bike, it will make you a better rider on any bike, perhaps maybe someday you can ride as good as me, good luck.

Travis Pastrana is a very talented young rider who pissed away a very promising career as a factory motocross rider. But he got lured into the 'cool' extreme jump movement and repeatedly injured himself often enough to destroy his racing program. Now he's trying to get back into racing, in rally cars this time.

I hope he's grown up some by now and can focus on his racing. He could make it big if he tried. If he doesn't, he's running out of high-dollar equipment and people willing to let him thrash it....

Oh yeah, he's best Bud's with Moto, too....

hey, everyone is different. One theme I see in these replies is the MSF course. TAKE IT!!!! Not only is it a great learning tool, it's really fun! I took it and had never ever been on a bike in my life, except as a passneger. I passed my first time out, and have been riding for 2 years and never dropped mine. They key is to not be afraid of it, and you have to WANT to do it, know that it will be fun. Hey, we all make mistakes and have accidents and stuff, but just be smart, relax, and have fun.

Sure some wikipedia pages need sources cited, but it says that. Follow the links that provide the information if you doubt the article, and use the report button if you think its false.
