How about you not asking any more questions? It appears you can't take any criticism or advice. Try sticking with the cage. You'll be safer there. :(
Can't take criticism? I think I can, see the smilies? Regardless, I'm putting new tires on before I ride based on the advice I got here, and I'll just go away and stop asking questions. I didn't realize newbies asking questions here was such a bad thing, sorry for that...
The guy's a troll. Just ignore him.

You'll be fine with new tires. I just put new tires on my bike and could not notice them being any more slick. No big deal. Enjoy the bike!

Rubber that hard is less able to flex, and flexing is a critical part of how motorcycle tires work. The danger is these tire will lose adhesion to the road and skid -- just like the new tires. But there's no "quick fix" for dried out tires. Get the new ones, scuff 'em with sandpaper or let someone more experienced ride the bike a bit. It doesn't take a whole lot to get the mold release compound off.

Good luck with the bike.
I already said several posts back that I was going to go ahead and get the new tires, what more do you people want :)
Dude, I don't want anything from you. Enjoy your bike.

I ride slow enough that I don't think tire slickness is a big deal yet  Mine are also new but we're almost at 200 miles so I guess thats getting close to broken in.
