I thought red was faster than black. Do I have it backwards?

In the "everything else" forum, Chris put some better photos of the tank with the graphic showing clearly (if you can see through the clouds and trees reflected in the paint). It's a monogram of his initials (CTA) in a form he could explain better to you. He's the real artist. I just know it has a shadow, and is at least a couple of layers deep in the paint. He knows the masking and color details.

In black....?
You know black...the fast color
Nooo~ Red is the fast color. Black is the stealthy color, so that cops can't see you. :D

If you take a V and turn it sideways its a "C". Take another V and flip it upside down and its an "A". At the intersecting points it forms a " t " CTA are my initials. Its been really hard to get that design down on paper. Just basic masking tape and an exacto knife will do the trick. lay the template where you want it and spray away. The shadow is gunmatal grey. The main grafic was laid in silver- silver- gold- silver- silver- and then wet sanded. Then a final coat of red to cover the tank. making the silver shine like a pearl orange color. I did experimental spray testing in our shed before trying colors on the bike itself. One of those little steps that'll keep you sane in this crazily long process.
