I have a very cost efficient system. I caught the oil and saved the filter the first time I changed the oil. Now every 3000 miles I change them back and forth! Oh and I lubed the chain when I bought it, real good. Now I done!

I get 10 or 11000 miles out of an engine! And sometimes I don't even have to buy a new chain! Feel free to adopt my system if you wish!

OK. I know that there may be some younger folks that don't realize that I was teasing. I too change my oil and filter every 3000 mi.
