Beer drinkers, unite!
Went to the Issaquah Brewhouse the other night and had a glass of their "Quad Frog" Belgian. It was awesome, and had 13% ABV.
If you're in the Seattle area I encourage you to go to the Brewhouse at least once.

The Delirium was only 9% but the big ones will give ya a nice buzz.
I want to try the Sam Adams Utopias. I think its like 25%. Thats pretty damn high for not being distilled.

That which is NOT beer!
(time to resurrect a necrothread..... I knew we had a beer thread around here somewhere!
)
I must be living in a plastic bubble, or an isolation chamber or something. Some days it seems like I lack experiences that everyone else has had. (For example, I must have been the last person in North America to see Avatar..... but I digress!)
Among all the Yuenglings, Guiness, Smithwicks, Dos Equis, Sam Adams, my neighbor's killer homebrew IPA, and various other tasty concoctions that pass through the Stark kitchen...... there has never hitherto been any Coors Light. So I'd never tasted the stuff. Last week my sister in law, who is not a beer drinker, gifted us a case of the storied Silver Bullets she had acquired from somewhere or other. So we took it home, chilled it down, and a couple of days later I sampled a can.......
TROLL PI$$!!!!!!
How the heck does the Coors company stay in business selling this stuff? And what really ticks me off, there are legions of people out there who don't know any better and actually think this stuff is "beer".
Un-frickin'-believable!!
Anybody want five-sixths of a case of Coors Light?

Nope. I haven't been to see it and have no plans to in the forseeable future.jstark47 wrote:(For example, I must have been the last person in North America to see Avatar..... but I digress!)

Re:
It's nice to see a fun thread resurrected! I actually did try the Irish Car Bomb... I didn't care for it at all. Didn't want to drink it super fast, but the sight of the curdled-looking Irish cream made it very unappealing to me.Loonette wrote:Haven't tried that yet. Isn't that adding Bailey's to the whole mix? If so, I should try it sometime, as I love Irish Creme as well (although I go with Emmett's - Bailey's is too heavy and sweet for me {and twice the cost as well}).HYPERR wrote:Do you like Irish Car Bomb?Loonette wrote: I also like it with a shot of Jameson's
I also tried blueberry beer a while back. Very good, I thought, especially for an ale, of which I'm not too fond. I can't remember the maker of the beer.
