The local Honda dealer has always been a bit of a collector and has many interesting older used bikes that he occasionally offers up for sale.
But the RC51 is NOS, and he has had it since 2001. Every once in a while he drops the price, still never any takers. But the bike is never put out front where everyone can see it, it always sits in a corner behind the rest of the sport bikes.
Wish I had the dough to spare for a specialized machine like that.
Here is a link to the RC51 at his shop.

Nice, got mine for $4700 with 23K on it and after $3500 worth of upgrades (so far) and some TLC it seems it'll last me a while. These bikes seem to last a while (60K-80K) if properly taken care of, we'll see.

I bet it would be an absolute blast on the track:)
The only person I know that owns one locally rode his down to Mexico and back a few years ago. He is over 6 feet tall, too. He didn't seem to mind. I know he was also talking about ordering another one (when they were still in production) and leaving it crated for some point in the future. I don't think he actually did it, though.

Oh yeah easy! Honda is arguably the best engine builders in the world. Even the air cooled inlines from the 70s have been reported to go a quarter million miles.

Maybe if you're here in 10 years I'll hit you up with 70K on the RC
One reason my bike stays so nice and prestige is because of Plexus and this:
Mark's Cycle Shell's are amazing for people without garage's / covers. Marine fabric keeps EVERYTHING out!!! Damn good idea.................advertising, yes, you won't be disappointed!!

Hows that Sato exhaust sound? The few RCs I have heard in person all had stock pipes so couldn't really tell if they sounded any good.

Damn, I could have afforded that bike, but not the extras!
