Yep Bro , that's me too . And over the years the one thing that I have noticed the most is that young riders pick a destination and go while old bikers pick a direction and ride ..........
Kind regards, Wizzard

I'm a young rider, and I have to agree with you. If I dont have a destination, I get lost (and around a metropolitan area like the one I live in, it is pretty easy to do). However, my "destination" or location is normally a series of gas stations I have plotted out in the direction of the fun roads with more bikes than cars
I dont think I'm a poser. I wear joe rocket and a fullface, and ride a cruiser. However, it is a korean bike, so some might call me a poser just for that. I just ride my bike because I like it. The only posing I do are for pictures with my friends and our bikes.

I don't get the opportunity to browse this forum all that often. So please forgive my ignorance. All this time I've been riding when I feel like it. Wearing what I want to wear. I didn't know all the other motorcyclists were busy scritinizing me. I thought they were just doing what they feel like doing too.
I really don't know my appropriate label. I don't know if I'm riding when and where or how I should be. I own dual sport that I really don't get offroad enough. The few times that it has been offroad, I trailored (oh my gosh!) the bike to the camp. I ride nearly everyday, but I've always got somewhere to go. I can only think of one time where I took off on the bike just for the sake of "going on a ride" (tsk tsk). For me, the bike is mostly fun transportation.
I'll try to be more conformative with the appropriate things to wear and ride for more appropriate reasons. But of course, I really don't know what I'm doing. Please help!
Then again, nevermind. Maybe I'll just keep doing what I want to do and not think about the hundreds of motorcyclists on various forums debating if I'm a loser, a poser or riding when and how they feel is appropriate. Don't worry, while my words might seem cynical, I'm not offended. I just find these recurring discussions rather impotent. Oh, and I apologize for missing the point and sharing my opinion on this discussion, instead of voicing an opinion on appropriate motorcycle fashion.

The only practical purpose for tassles is to keep the flies off, ergo anyone who wears tassles is a poser.
