Re: What did you do today...
Yeah the electronic stuff isn't stuff I would be looking at. I'm talking about early 2000s, maybe even late 90s.
I saw a Dakota I really liked yesterday, 4.7 V8, 5 speed, spray-in bedliner, 4x4, but it had rust at the door handle and had been in an accident that hadn't been reported on carfax. (I noticed the bumper had been replaced and there was overspray on some of the rubber parts.
So I passed on it. If I do get a Dakota it HAS to be the manual, the automatic they have is notorious for going out. Same on in Cherokees, Explorers, and other SUVs/light trucks.

Re: What did you do today...
Dodge hasn't been able to build a decent slushbox since the 70's and the 727.
Strange, since the new ones are based on the 727, but that extra gear and the electronics seem to turn the innards into glass......

Re: What did you do today...
To drown my sorrows (bikeless for the next couple of weeks) I took the day off work and went up to London by train. Spent the afternoon searching round CD stores to try and find some early Mac Curtis. No luck but came home with a load of other rockabilly classics. Spent the evening bopping around the kitchen.

At least Mopar and GM have built good slushies at one time or another. Ford has never built a slushie that is any good.BuzZz wrote:Dodge hasn't been able to build a decent slushbox since the 70's and the 727.

Re: What did you do today...
Yeah, but Ford 'solved' that problem by never putting anything with enough grunt to hurt the tranny in front of it.

SV (Hud)...you could probably order the CD you want online. I found one I liked online that none of the stores had anymore.

And doc, you STILL haven't sold that thing? Yeesh! I'd be interested if I wanted another cruiser, but I'm looking at a Busa this weekend, I helped the guy get it running and he rebuilt the rest, for 4500...
