Any other way is newbie-speak....
FWIW....
It sure looks to me like that bike is leading you around by the nads..... yes, I wasted 57 minutes if my life to download that vid of you on my dial-up connection. I'd be more pissed, but I had a good chuckle out of it, so.....
The point that Kal is trying to get across is that two entities working together need to communicate and that communication takes time limiting reactions.
If you're one with the bike you know when something is going wrong AS it is going wrong, instead of waiting for the bike to TELL you it's happening. It's a subtle difference, but having the bike operate as an extension of yourself is a much better way to look at it.
Rather then two entities that are trying to work together. I'd rather be one with the bike then sit on top of a hunk of metal and try to understand what it's saying.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

well yeah, that's why i said it depends on how you see "being one"
i think we're pretty much saying the same... we just have different terminologies.
my point is riding is is a 2-way thing between the rider and the bike. they should work towards the same goal but still separate entities.
"whats that you gixxer? timmy fell in the well? well gosh we better go!"
