No, not that you flamed me, I meant before someone else felt like flaming me, sorry I didn't write that clearly enough. The school banned the club because the principal, who had to approve all clubs, was anti gay and lesbian. Because of her position, we ended up losing things such as the Mountain Bike club, the Chess club, the A/V club, everything, except for the foreign language clubs and the History club. She's no longer there because it was such an unpopular position among the students and faculty. Nice chattin with you too...jackM50black wrote:Wrider wrote:Thanks for the reply. I don't think I flamed you, because I did'nt accuse you of anything, just asked a difficult question. I appreciate your position, and I don't really have a comment on the gay marriage thing. My opinion on the school clubs thing, is that it is the School that banned the clubs, not the student. Why did the School ban the clubs? It sounds like the School was so strongly opposed to providing a gay club meeting place, that they would rather shut down most of the others in order to prevent gay teens from meeting on school grounds (such as what is done for all kinds of other student clubs). Too bad the School chose this route. Thanks, nice chattin'....., later.jackM50black wrote:Like I said though, her radicalism the only reason a lot of people I know don't support it... Have a great day!
