heh!

yeah, it's all about the fun.

im not an over-sensitive person... if i was, i would have left this website along time ago.

BTW... im re-reading nick ienatsch's book and i am learning more since there's too much info on it to grasp at just one reading.

hough's book on the other hand, i can't bring myself to read it again. his writing style isn't bad but i just enjoy reading nick's book a lot more since it applies to my goals.

to those who don't know... nick's book isn't about racing, it's mostly about street riding skills but he also does a good job of relating to how those skills can work for you at the tracks.

I still listen to Pantera and Slayer... and I don't get laughed at for it either...

but really, i don't have a band anymore so there's not much motivation for me to improve my guitar skills.

riding on the other hand, i currently have a lot of motivation.

so i don't mind spending money on my bike since i use it a lot for whatever reason.

After 6 years of band (Middle school/high school) you pick up a thing or two about pitch.

I played the French Horn - at least it wasn't the flute... - and it's a difficult instrument to get the correct pitch going. But by the time I graduated I could pick out almost any song on the horn.

I've been playing guitar for two years (or three? not sure) and haven't gotten to that point yet, but I figure it's the same concept. One day I'll have an epiphone and go "Oh, ok I see now" and the fretboard will go from a bunch of frets (the way I currently see it) to a bunch of notes and I'll be able to pick out a note without having to think of the string I'm on then following the frets up step by step.

That's how the transition was on the horn. Just one day I went 'ah, I see now' and it all made sense from there.

And that's definately not natural talent, it took me a long time to get to that stage lol.
Have fun on the open /¦\
