yeah it was stolen w/ the bike along w/ my gloves. insurance said they'll only cover the helmet which is not so bad since the gloves i got was on sale so i got it cheap.kabob983 wrote:Just realized I'm sort of out of the loop. Was your old helmet stolen with your bike or something?
And also, not all helmets (even from the same company) fit exactly alike. All the Arai models fit a lil differently. Try on whatever it is you're gonna buy!
Also, you can get brand new helmets off of ebay pretty cheap. I know people will gripe and such but stick with an ebay store and figure out the build date and you'll be good to go. Saw a brand new HJC AC-12 for $139 on there earlier today, seems like a really nice helmet, and almost every shop around you is going to carry HJC so you can go try one on.
Also, the Suomy Ventura is no longer made, might be hard to find replacement parts/visors for it. Stick with something that's current.
Depends. To a certain extent, yes, they will all do alot. But then there's the "how hard should a helmet be" debate. Most of the really high priced helmets you see are (imho) too hard and can be a bit of a hinderance in low energy crashed.camthepyro wrote:I don't even get the difference between the different brands, they'll all protect your head about the same right?
