NOTES: I like the comment "Simple, basic, versatile, comfortable, looks like a lot of fun" Grey Thumper left but like many, I'd like to see less "tacky tech" and more retro style, especially in the gauge/clock area and with the muffler design. But overall, here is hoping for Ducati's true naked bike to be successful. A score of 76% is nothing to be ashamed at and I'm sure aftermarket goodies will fix this bike up nicely.

NOTES: The 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 ABS Travel Pack would be a hit if it wasn't so... unattractive. Or so say our members. It has all the right features, the right power, the right comfort to make it great. Aprilia is known for their sexy and powerful motorcycles but somehow they couldn't just get the magic right with the Caponord looks. A shame really.

NOTES: Suzuki gets it and many, many other manufacturers have recently got it as well. It's that riders want BOTH power and comfort. Before we had the choice of power (Supersports) or comfort (touring/cruisers) with very little in the mix. The new GSX series from Europe brings that mix to North America. Maybe they should use my tagline "Go Naked. It's just more fun".

NOTES: Sometimes taking the road less traveled is a sure way to success and ironically the URAL does that in more ways than one! With a score of 72% we are looking at a bike that beats out many other advanced motorcycles (by decades of advancement), but in the end, it's not the tech that counts, sometimes it's not what's there that matters most. Something to think about for sure.

NOTES: A lot of very positive comments in the forum about the new BMW S1000XR and it's done pretty good in the voting as well. The big question lately is the definition of Adventure Bike, Dual Sport and Sport Tourer as these traditional lines get more blurred each year. But whatever the S1000XR is or is not, it's very capable motorcycle for doing most anything on. There are so many good forum comments it's hard to pick one, like "You're not meant to take it to Tanzania and back, or to take it on singletrack. It's a light sport tourer with a tall suspension to give your knees more room and deal with the odd pothole. It's perfect for what most adventure tourers are actually, honestly used for" - Grey Thumper.

NOTES: Kawasaki introduces a long awaited cruiser using the 650cc Parallel Twin that the Ninja 650R and Versys 650 have been using. In doing so, they have a clear winner with engine performance, price point and style that other manufacturers have a hard time competing with. Lots of favorable opinions pepper the new Vulcan S in our forums and in turn, the Vulcan S gets a very sweet 69.6% Coolness Factor in our guide. As a side note, the Vulcan S didn't receive any fail votes either.

NOTES: "Who hit the Victory Magnum with the ugly stick" or so goes the majority of opinions for the 2015 Victory Magnum. Some like it, in fact, it's quite original and unique in many ways. But the overall presentation by Victory seems to go too far for many riders to swallow. At 40.4% it drops the Victory Magnum to our 3rd lowest position for the year. Hopefully it's better in the show rooms?

NOTES: Innovative but at a cost. Zero keeps making their models better and more efficient but the cost is still a hard swallow for the majority of motorcyclists. As technology improves, Zero should be able to keep lowering the model cost. But the double edged sword here is technology always gets superseded and few want "old tech", thus a 10 year old Zero could be a "throw-away" technology similar to a 1MP digital camera.

NOTES: After all these years on the Cool Wall finishing as either fail or uncool, the new Can-Am Spyder F3 throws off the chains and get a Cool vote! Times are a cha-changing indeed! While it still has the stigma of "not a motorcycle", the "open air experience" seems to be winning the new F3 some positive votes. Could we be looking at a showroom floor winner here for Can-Am?
