I was in a collision in the spring. It's just taking a long time for things to settle down. I'm doing some more intensive exercises now...so with any luck (cough cough...) I should be able to go back to work next month. I'll be riding again when the new season starts.

So sorry to hear about that. Hope it doesn't make you gun shy but its understandable. I am glad you still have life and limb.

Did time stand still and seem to be in slomo during the accident and seem surreal?

I always tell newbies I know, that unfortunately accidents seem to be inevitable with motorcycles. Whether its a fender bender, rolling flat tire or just losing ones balance at a stop, they just seem to happen if you ride lots.

Hope this finds you on the mend physically and mentally.

That is a good way to put it. At the time I remember thinking 'We're going to crash"...it was only a second, but it did seem to take forever....
My life did not flash before my eyes...but knowing it was ineveitable, I hung on for dear life...that's why my shoulder has been taking so long to get better. It's coming along though.

Physically it has been taking a long time. But I should be ready for the new season. Mentally I think I will be fine. I went for a few rides as a passenger and I was ok. I may be a bit "gunshy" first few times in traffic...but I expect to get over it. I had the same feeling after I was sideswiped riding my bicycle. I was hurt a bit....but got better...and then went back to cycling. I was nervous at first, but got over it.

My bike is repaired and looking showroom new.

I only mention the surreal slow mo thing cause thats how the handfull of accidents I've been in seemed to have been. Over in mere seconds but I could almost see myself in slow mo as I was flung over the taxi cab hood or the other time when my front wheel fell off at about 45mph and I was shot thru the ape hangers. Everything didn't seemed real. I was always like "if I can walk around I'm not dead". Beaten and bloody but not dead.

What ahole sideswipes a kid on a bicycle ?

So, I guess it is all relative and yep, corner to corner not including the framing....at least I got THAT part right....

The problem came when I ordered a privacy screen for work but we are using them anyway, covers MOST of the screen.....

hehe once you got 1080p you never look back . next project is 5 years down the road when I build a new house along with a home theatre .

Blues, sorry to hear about becoming a stastic. But, you're here and you're talking about it, that's the important part. Lost a good friend over the summer from a freak accident.

there is some truth to both comments lol.

My basement will get poured first and the theatre is going in the basement.......

So, are you going to use the "Cad 5" wiring in your home? We ALMOST built this last summer, but the prices came into high for what we wanted to do....regroup!

its Cat 5 and I will use Cat 5e. The only thing I wont do myself on my new home is framing. i will have help with that.
