Hello,

New, been riding for 36 years and I am an old guy :) . I currently have 2 rides. 1998 FLHTCUI w/ sidecar (just purchased) and 1983 FLHS(since new). I ride until tempeture gets below 32 degrees. Why? When road gets icy and your on 2 wheels, bad things happen. Personal experience and preference.

I have been in too many accidents to remember. Not bragging and not because I am a bad driver or accident prone. "poo poo" happens on two wheels, high speed flat tires, equipment failure, ahole cagers.

This looks like a fun site and I am looking forward to participating and finding a niche' here. I have read many interesting threads and post. Seen even more enjoyable photos.

Sincerely,

badinfluence

I notice that your tagged as a regular you must have spent a bunch of times reading different posts. Well there are a few of us shall a say older generation folks here. We are in our 50's and a person from Alaska husband just retired so they too must be about our age, or very rich. Any way I have enjoyed this site myself. Glad your still around to talk about all of your acidents. I have just started riding again after about a 25 years drout but I have had a few incidents myself. Nothing more then just dumb mistakes on my part.

Patrick,

Thanks for the welcome. I have graduated to "Regular" as a consequence of being a chatty SOB. And if I know anything its motorcycles, riding them and all that goes with them (didn't say I know everything).

This is an awsome site. I'm loving it!

Pationate about biking

As for being chatty, when you love something like most of us here do as much as we do, you tend to want to talk about it. Birds of a feather and so on. We all have different riding styles and such but we still love to ride.

I see things get heated here by the looks of a few locked threads.

I am surprised, pleasantly so, to see riders of all bikes getting along for the most part. I so left that one bike mentality sooo long ago myself. Yes I must confess I was guilty of it but in my late teens early 20's.

Energized discussions

I know some people do have very strong opinions on what type of bike to have etc.,. But at the end of the day, it seems on the road we all get along. It seems with age we all tend to settle down a bit and not sweat the small stuff. In my case by some definitions I am a poser in that for me a good riding day max'es out at about 200-250 miles. I am not a ride hard and long kind of rider. There are those who would not want to ride with me, while the guys I ride with are more inline to the type of riding I do.

:welcome: to TMW, badinfluence....

I hope you enjoy the forums.

Yes, once in a while things get out of hand and we lock the occasional thread....but that does not happen very often.

We try to keep this a friendly place to play.

We also like pictures.....so if you have a pic of your bikes....hint, hint... :)

You need to upload them from an internet site....such as photobucket or image shack or???

I use photobucket. Others use other sites. They are free to join. You can upload pictures to their site from your computer and then you can link the image from that site to here.
