i can do that but like said earlier, it would be too noisy and will attract too much attn from cops so i'd rather ride at lower rpm, higher gear, same speed, and less noise.

and 1st gear at 9K for me is already around 65mph, not good on the streets.

again, guys... im not gonna hit the canyons when i get the TRE installed, which BTW is already here. i'd install it myself, but i wanna show it to my mechanic 1st.

i'll be taking it easy for a while and ride the bike like it's my 1st time again.

being noisy wont get your more tickets. i work for LAPD and while it may be a fairly curropt organization with a bad rep we dont ticket loud bikers. If your loud and we notice you and your speeding, then we will. I personally would rather be noisy then soft, if cops can hear me, so can cagers, which helps me get noticed and not run over

ok but still, it would be boring if had to stay in 1st gear all the time.

on the streets, im crusing at 3rd gear.

on the freeway, im cruising at 5th gear.

i only go to 6th when it's a wide open freeway.

well i donno exactly why it would be borinng in 1st, if you can hit the same speeds in 1st as 2ed or 3d just at different RPMs it seems to me it would be the same thing. but im not talking about that, i was just making a comment about your noise issue.

yeah, but still, noise attracts attention to those who observe, like cops.

if a driver is using a cel phone or not paying attention to the road, they still will not notice you even if you are loud or it will be too late before they notice you.

So you are saying that Ninja 250s get a lot of tickets relative to other motorcycles? 'Cause from what I hear they cruise at ~10K doing the speed limit.

nope, just more prone to get attn from cops when you're loud.

Why are you worried about the bike being too loud?

If you're cruising along at whatever, 8-9K RPM, and there's very little load on the engine, it's not going to be that loud.

Besides, that's a moot point. If you still have the stock factory exhaust, then it's DOT legal and you can't be ticketed for being too loud. If you are, just show the DA you have the factory exhaust system, and the ticket will be tossed.

like i said, i can't cruise at 9K, that would be highly illegal speeds on the streets for my bike.

and yes, it is very loud at 9k.
