Not A Troublemaker

Hello to everybody new to this forum. I got thrown off of The Suzuki Forums cause I was the only person that cut down the Suzuki bike I owned. I am very honest and I cut down the bike I own to help and protect new people from not making the same mistake I did and buying the same bike I own. I understand most people have pride and they are going to say the bike they own is the best, but I know most people are not telling everybody everything, the problems they have, and short commings of the bike. I understand that. I promice I will be good and respectfull to everybody. Thank You

Welcome to the TMW. What kind of trouble did you have with the M50?

Dear Mr High_Side, Thank you for the welcome, the problems I have with my M50 is the black exhaust smoke, backfires, and blown ign fuses and I was told its normal and it can't be fixed I do know one other owner with the same exact problems. Warranty and the extended warranty don't cover problems that are considered normal by the dealer. Case closed.

Welcome aboard!
Did you try documenting every little detail (including your conversations with the dealer) and submitting a formal complaint to Suzuki? Also, most states have lemon laws - even for motorcycles. I thought I was going to have to use the lemon law to get a remedy for my Meanstreak last year, but before it came to that my bike finally blew the head gasket that had been only a bit leaky beforehand. Anyway, good luck - I hope something works out for you.
Enjoy the forums (and try to behave

).
Cheers,
Loonette

I never thought of the lemon law for motorcycles, the problem I may come up with is the problem I have may be considered normal. I was told its normal for all V Twin engines to backfire.

Someone's BS'ing you. We have an '04 Marauder, essentially the same engine. It doesn't backfire, no black smoke, runs fine.
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome!
My nighthawk backfires a little, but it's a parallel twin, and it's 24 years old. But I wouldn't think it'd be normal for a bike to back fire if it's in it's optimal running condition.

I know its not normal, there's nothing I can do when any dealer refuses to repair it, I can't twist his arm and make him, dealers have total authority on warranty, I called Suzuki they say there is nothing they can do, dealers have total authority on warranty. If you take your bike in for a warranty problem and if the dealer feels its not a problem its a normal condition, the dealer can bill you his normal labor rate for looking at it.

1st off , welcome to the TMW Forums .
My spousette and I both have Suzuki cruisers . Her's is a 2000 Maurader and mine is a 96 Intruder .
She had a back firing problem because the previous owner installed custom pipes without rejetting . Mine has never backfired with the exception of when I had an electical short which I fixed .
