does the plug fire every time the piston reaches the top, both compression and exhaust? i'm having a time trying to install the cylinder and cam sprocket chain and all without the chain dropping off the lower sprocket. i think i got it wrong the first time resulting in a bent intake valve. new valves on the way now.

I'm not sure. What does the service manual say?

The TW200 has a waste-spark ignition system and fires the plug on every crankshaft rotation. For what it's worth I don't believe that's mentioned anywhere in the factory service manual.
