The Perfect Bike for the Job

OK, finally I've gotten my pops to agree to get us a proper bike for our summer house up north. I'm not totally sure what would be ideal though, given the terrain of the place. The place we live in is at the end of a very badly maintained and very steep dirt road/gravel road. I can't emphasize enough how steep it is. Then once you're off of that, then there are roads that are absolutely perfect, large sweeping turns, lots of fun etc. Personally, I would fancy a ninja 250 or maybe a gixxer someday for the road, but I would think I'd have to be a bit more skilled than I am to get a bike like that up this hill. Maybe it's a lot easier than I imagine, maybe not. The solution I came to was a supermoto bike, which would be cool, but bear in mind I wanna have some fun when I get out on the road. which basically means I just want a bike that has a good sounding, smooth engine with a wide powerband and a good amount of power. Maybe I'm absolutely going to have to have a bike with knobby tires on it. Hopefully not. Could I learn to get a sportbike up this stupid hill? Enlighten me with experience.
