Bike deal thingy...
Bike deal thingy...
So currently the bike deal that I had been working out seems as if it wont work out. Which has lead me to a dealership to get a brand new bike. A SV650S, it'll be red which is eh, I rather have a nice blue. Anyway, what should I pay for a new SV650S from the dealership.
I was quoted a price at 6500, which is basically the msrvp or whatever price, now I know they can go lower and at the time when i walked in and asked how low can you go they didnt know I had the resources to get a new one. Anyway if I were to walk into a dealership and say listen I'll buy this bike right now for xxxx amount of money, or we dont have a deal. What should that xxxx amount of money be?

6,000?
But from what I hear (so take this with a grain) is that dealers don't get a whole lot off selling bikes. That the MSRP is there so tha tthe dealer will still get a profit.
Most the dealers money comes from repairing/maintenance and gear sales.

subtract $1000 from msrp , get quotes and prices from other dealers The SV650S should be less than $6000. Make sure the dealer quotes you an Out The Door price, some dealers will tell you they will give you that bike for $5500 but will add on $400 dealer prep and shipping charge.

Pay $12 and you'll get the dealer invoice cost plus other cost the dealer has. You can then see how much the mark up is and bargain accordingly.

Supposed to be really accurate. I haven't use them (yet). I plan to here shortly. I've read the testimonials on their site and they are good. Even the couple about mistakes were dealt with great. They refund money for mistakes they make and place a premium on customer service.MattL wrote:How accurate is cyclebuy.com?t_bonee wrote:http://www.cyclebuy.com/
